Position SummaryThe Payroll & Human Resources Clerk is responsible for all data management and processing of vendor payments and associate payroll in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.Education, Experience, And Licensure RequirementsHigh school graduate or equivalentHuman Resources and Payroll experience requiredHealthcare or mid-size company experience helpfulPrior bookkeeping experience preferredData entry experience preferredSpecific Job RequirementsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mailMake independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionKnowledgeable of administration practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing administration functions in the post-acute care facilityImplement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the administration departmentPerform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: accounts payable, payroll, business office support, patient rights, and safety and sanitationMaintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential informationUnderstand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance proceduresDisplays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance trainingEssential FunctionsServes as the on-site Human Resources representativeRecord A/P transactions accurately and in a timely mannerAccurately reconcile A/P and payroll statementsProcess facility payroll accurately and in a timely mannerPrepare and verify quarterly payroll reports timelyExhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patientsAssist in the evacuation of patientsDemonstrate dependable, regular attendanceConcentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgmentCommunicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary teamSit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hoursRead, write, speak, and understand the English languageMust be able to lift 20 lbs floor to waist, lift 20 lbs waist to shoulder, lift and carry 20 lbs, and push/pull 20 lbsAn Equal Opportunity Employer
