Lutron Programming Apprentice

*Lutron Programming Apprentice* Role Overview We are looking for a motivated Apprentice Smart Home & Lutron Programmer to join our team. In this entry-level role, you will work directly alongside senior technicians and programmers to learn the trade. You will gain hands-on experience installing, configuring, and programming premium audio/video, lighting control, and automated systems for custom residential and commercial properties. Key Responsibilities · Learn Lutron Systems: Shadow senior staff to program and commission Lutron systems (HomeWorks, RadioRA, and motorized shades). · On-Site Deployment: Travel to active construction and renovation sites to map hardware and upload initial programming files. · System Troubleshooting: Learn to diagnose and resolve communication errors, low-voltage wiring faults, and network connectivity issues. · Project Documentation: Keep organized records of network topology diagrams, system backups, and hardware checklists. Required Qualifications & Skills · Hands-on Aptitude: Comfortable working with basic hand tools and reading technical wiring diagrams or floor plans. · Reliability: Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation to travel to local job sites. · Physical Ability: Able to climb ladders, work in tight spaces (like equipment closets), and lift up to 50 lbs. · Preferred experience working for an electrical contractor.
