Logistics - Material Handler - B ShiftSupport internal material transfer by booking systematically, transporting, staging and stacking raw materials, finished goods, empty dunnage using the required Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT's). Principal activities include staging/commissioning materials for production/shipment, checking quantities of goods/materials received according to instructions/guidelines, preparing goods/materials for booking into inventory and booking them in. Safely operate PIT's (Tugger, sit-down forklift, stand-up forklift) to deliver parts and raw materials to production lines, deliver finished and packaged goods from production to the warehouse or as internal material flow dictates for dunnage, finished goods and raw material. Load and offload outbound/inbound transports. Correctly stage and transport materials with labels affixed correctly. Effectively communicate with team leaders and supervisors regarding problems with the material flow, absence of parts, and safety concerns. Read labels to verify quantities, part numbers, descriptions, etc. Determine part and material availability and report shortages. Use hand-held scanner to verify correct warehouse location before transporting parts. Use hand-held scanner to order and retrieve parts from the warehouse. Distribute goods/materials and book them according to instructions. Ensure that parts, materials, and finished goods and dunnage are not damaged during transportation in order to meet the quality requirements. Ensure that parts, materials, and finished goods that are damaged during transportation pass a quality inspection before delivery. Maintains good housekeeping using the 6S principles. Performs PIT inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working order and follows all safety guidelines for the work area. Ensure the timely delivery of parts, materials, and finished goods. Be cooperative with co-workers in order to maintain a good working environment. Remove old labels from customer and internal dunnage as instructed, before dispatching the dunnage to the production line.
