Position Summary:
The Website Performance Manager will be responsible for maximizing the performance of the CALI website, driving improvements in conversion rates (CVR), and enhancing the overall customer journey to generate high quality leads. This role will also oversee the PPC Specialist and collaborate closely with internal teams, and external agencies. This person will constantly monitor site performance metrics, lead A/B testing initiatives, and ensure that our website consistently delivers an optimized experience for our customers. They will also manage the creation of landing pages within the CMS, collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure alignment with business goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the CALI Residential Customer journey and lead generation business model.
Key Responsibilities:
Website Performance Monitoring:
Regularly review and analyze website performance reports to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Continuously audit the website to ensure it is up to date with accurate information and full functionality.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rate (CVR), page load times, and customer journey metrics to ensure optimal site performance.
Act quickly to troubleshoot and resolve any issues impacting site performance.
Oversees and collaborates closely with IT, UX/UI and consultants for the technical and functional performance of website ensuring efficiencies, user experience metrics and site navigation optimization.
Lead Generation and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):
Focus on optimizing the website to increase lead generation, understanding how to effectively drive form submissions, calls and sample orders.
Lead the development and execution of A/B and multivariate tests aimed at improving conversion rates and enhancing the user experience.
Use data-driven insights to develop and implement optimization strategies that improve customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to roll out successful experiments site-wide.
Customer Journey Enhancement:
Continuously review the customer journey to identify pain points or areas of friction, making recommendations for improvements.
Work with the marketing, product, and sales teams to implement changes that enhance the user experience and align with the company’s business objectives.
Landing Page Management:
Create and optimize landing pages within the CMS, ensuring they are aligned with marketing goals and contribute to overall site performance.
Working closely with the creative team, test landing page variations to determine the most effective designs and content for driving conversions.
A/B Testing and Experimentation:
Develop, implement, and analyze A/B tests to optimize user flow, design elements, and calls to action, with a focus on improving lead generation and overall site performance.
Document test results and iterate on successful tests to improve site performance over time.
SEO and Keyword Optimization:
Keep up with SEO trends and best practices, regularly auditing the site for opportunities to improve search engine rankings.
Track keyword rankings and implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies to increase organic traffic and improve visibility.
Analyze CRO (conversion rate optimization) marketing funnels and implement strategies to increase conversion rates on key landing pages.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, creative, product, sales and webdev teams, and well as, an outside agency, to ensure that the site reflects up-to-date content and supports ongoing business initiatives.
Provide regular updates to leadership on site performance, key findings from A/B tests, and optimization initiatives.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Use analytics tools such as Google Analytics, heatmaps, and other performance tracking software to analyze user behavior and site performance.
Generate insights from data and report findings to relevant teams, making data-backed recommendations for ongoing site optimization.
Deep understanding of technical site performance metrics and optimization/digital marketing to ensure that the website not only functions efficiently but also is meeting the marketing and conversation goals.
Industry Trends and Best Practices:
Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and best practices in website optimization, lead generation and developments to ensure CALI remains competitive in its digital strategy.
Apply industry knowledge to continuously innovate and improve the website with new marketing trends/ tools to enhance the company's digital presence and performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, eCommerce, or a related field
3-5 years of digital marketing experience
Proven experience in website optimization, CRO, or lead generation, with a strong understanding of the CALI residential customer journey.
Experience in eCommerce or a fast-paced digital environment.
Strong understanding of web analytics, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization with a focus on lead generation strategies.
Proficiency with CMS platforms and tools like Google Analytics, Sanity, Optimizely, etc.
Familiarity with heatmaps, user testing tools, and other CRO platforms.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make actionable recommendations.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as marketing, product, sales web dev, as well as an outside agency.
Knowledge of the building materials industry is a plus.

Work will be performed on laptop/computer primarily in an office environment. Some travel may be required. The position will require long hours on a computer keyboard and monitor with prolonged periods of standing and/or walking and/or sitting.
