Maintenance Supervisor

Role OverviewThe Battery Systems Assembly Maintenance Supervisor oversees the Maintenance Technicians and provides first-line support for all production and assembly machinery.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)The responsibilities of the BSA Maintenance Supervisor include overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance technicians and providing support for all preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and removal of parts from machines and equipment. Duties also include logging and tracking work, parts used, and procedures, as well as noting any abnormalities. This role requires observing working practices and machines, performing root cause analysis, conducting FMEA, and collaborating with engineers and managers to solve problems. Additional tasks include diagnosing machines, robots, PLCs, VFDs, conveyors, bearings, gears, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and HMI systems.AUTHORITY & SCOPEThis role operates within defined corporate policies and procedures and exercises judgment appropriate to its level of responsibility. The position may influence decisions related to functional operations, processes, or recommendations and escalate matters as required Supervisory Responsibilities: YesQualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)Required Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED3+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or facility maintenance with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to take initiative, lead tasks or small teams, or serve as a go- to resource for peersExperience supporting preventative maintenance tasksProven ability to communicate clearly with technicians, operators, and leadershipRequired Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesKnowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systemsKnowledge of both hand and power toolsKnowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) techniquesAbility to read and understand electrical schematicsWorking knowledge of servo and stepper motorsWorking knowledge of control systems, PLCs, and HMI systemsKnowledge of preventive maintenance practicesKnowledge of SAP and CMMS systemsWelding experience, including SMAW, GTAW, and GMAWWorking knowledge of Lockout/Tagout proceduresFamiliarity with Lean work practicesPreferred Education & Experience3+ years supervising maintenance teams in an industrial, manufacturing, or facilities environment.Experience in Welding (GMAW/MIG/FSW/Laser) and Press ProcessExperience in automotive manufacturing environmentExperience in battery manufacturing environmentAbility to understand 2D/3D drawings and knowledge of design toolsERP experienceWorking Conditions60% on the production floor, 40% office workExtensive walking and standing on the production floorFrequent bending, stooping, lying on the floor, and climbingOccasionally lift to 50 lbs aloneFlexibility to work multiple shifts, nights, weekends, and holidaysTeam-based working environmentRequired to wear PPE correctly at all timesThis position will support 2nd Shift*
