Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract, part-time basis. This onsite contract position in Hayward, California offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment while supporting a busy accounting team. The role focuses on invoice management, coding, and vendor communication, requiring someone who is tech-savvy and detail-oriented.Responsibilities:- Accurately code and input invoices into the accounting system.- Process accounts payable transactions from receipt to payment completion.- Assign and verify general ledger (GL) codes to ensure proper job or project cost allocation.- Support cost accounting procedures by reviewing invoices prior to payment posting.- Maintain data accuracy across multiple accounting platforms.- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies.- Provide administrative and coding assistance to the accounting department.- Perform data validation and process checks to ensure consistency and compliance. Requirements - Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.- Proficient in invoice and GL coding with a strong attention to detail.- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple systems and adapt to new software.- Exceptional data entry skills with a focus on speed and accuracy.- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.- Effective communication skills for interacting with internal teams and vendors.- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a part-time capacity.- Familiarity with high-volume invoice environments, such as construction or contractor-based industries, is preferred.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
