Nurses in this area have a 1:6 ratio and provide unparalleled care to predominately cardiac patients requiring treatment for chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, or other various cardiac arrhythmias. In addition, this unit will further provide care to a variety of medical patients with pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, and occasional stroke, as well as surgical patients. Our dedicated team of nursing and ancillary staff provides patient-centered care to support each specialized patient’s recovery with the goal of reaching optimal patient outcomes for all. Education - Required• Associated degree in nursing Certifications – Required• AHA BLSOR RED CROSS Licenses – Required• Registered Nurse State of Alabama or compact license (No Temp Licenses' accepted)• NURSYS Experience - Required:• 2 years experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year ofRECENT experience in the field of specialty
