Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Duties
Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
Implement specialized interventions for populations including children with developmental disabilities, individuals with PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, and those requiring Alzheimer's or geriatrics care.
Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and facilitate behavior change.
Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, social work support, and coordination of home or community-based care services.
Participate in clinical research projects related to behavioral health outcomes, addiction counseling, or special education initiatives.
Collect data for quality assurance, research purposes, and continuous improvement efforts while ensuring compliance with ICD coding standards (ICD-9/10) for accurate medical records documentation.
Provide education on mental health topics such as psychopharmacology, ICD coding procedures, CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology relevant to clinical practice.
Experience
Valid licensure as an LCSW or LPC with current certification in good standing.
Proven experience in psychotherapy across diverse settings including hospitals, community clinics, or home-based care environments.
Demonstrated expertise working with children, adolescents, adults with disabilities, and older adults requiring Alzheimer's or geriatrics care.
Experience providing behavioral health services involving applied behavior analysis (ABA), addiction counseling, or working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and data collection purposes.
Knowledge of crisis management protocols and experience delivering crisis intervention services effectively.
Background in clinical research or working within hospital environments is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of medical records management including ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding procedures for billing compliance, and medical terminology relevant to mental health care.
