Senior Team Leader (After School) Expanded Learning

Job Overview The Sr. Team Leader will be responsible for collaborating with the Program Manager in the development and execution of the day-to-day operations of the campus in cooperation with the school district while supporting the mission and values of the Sacramento Chinese Community Service Center (the Center). Core Essential Functions Mentor and assist with training of new Team Leader staff. Sub for Team Leader call-outs Maintain a safe and effective environment for academic, enrichment and recreational programs. Effectively manage classroom activities promoting positive student behavior and decision-making, while ensuring all youth are engaged and involved. Monitor youth progress, and report daily to the Program Manager. Create and implement lesson plans and activities which are developmentally appropriate. Inventory and distribute all equipment and supplies. Plan, organize and implement educational enrichment activities. Monitor the regular maintenance of buildings and equipment. Inform Program Manager regarding special needs, maintenance and repairs. Report any behavior issues involving youth to the Program Manager. Perform basic custodial duties. Demonstrate knowledge of, and support, mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures of the Center. Participate in the Emerging Leadership Collective (professional development). Report all accident and safety issues involving students to the Program Manager. Adhere to and follow all policies and procedures of the Center, District and assigned site. Treat all employees fairly, equitably, and with respect and dignity. Job Specifications Completion of 48 units of undergraduate work from an accredited university or para-educator certificate. Negative TB test and clear Background Check through DOJ/FBI. Minimum age of eighteen (18) years at time of employment. A high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work with youth from diverse backgrounds within the community. Bi-lingual preferred. Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language. Proven, excellent interpersonal communication skills. Have excellent organizational, development, and time management skills. Experience working with youth in a school. Working Conditions The typical work environment is located at a school campus. Monday through Friday Shift schedules between the hours of 7:00am – 6:00pm, approximately 20-35 hours per week. Part time position without benefits.
