Sr. Safety Specialist

This position will include, but will not be limited to, daily safety audits, development of site specific safety plans, conducting safety meetings and training, OSHA compliance/inspections, job hazard analysis, incident response, and working with general contractor's safety personnel to ensure Chamberlin's compliance with site specific safety requirements. This position reports to the Safety Director and will be primarily field based. Bilingual, able to read, write and communicate in English and Spanish Must have a valid driver's license Must be authorized to work in the United States (We do E-Verify) Average or above computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Excellent written and verbal communication skills OSHA 500 Certification Preferred bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or in a safety related field, or 1-3 years of experience in construction safety management role Ability to work in a team atmosphere Candidate must have good organization skills Possess all Safety Coordinator II skills and requirements At least 5 years of safety experience and a proven ability to lead and set the right example Fluent bilingual - able to read, write and speak publicly (Spanish and English) Able to follow directions and guidance from Safety Dept. management Able to take on multiple assignments and see to completion with minimal guidance Chamberlin Roofing and Waterproofing seeks and values people of all backgrounds because every employee, customer and business partner is important.
