AWS Software Engineer (Remote Position)
Overview:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain cloud-based solutions on AWS to accelerate client modernization. You'll work with architects and delivery teams to deliver secure, scalable accelerators and applications, with focus on hands-on solution engineering. You'll contribute to code quality, security, and observability, while adopting new patterns to meet evolving requirements. This role offers impact across client programs and opportunities to shape cloud-native delivery in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Translate requirements from architects into high-quality, maintainable code
- Apply best practices and modern cloud architectures to new or modernized applications
- Develop, test, and deploy modular accelerator code to streamline client projects
- Incorporate security, networking, and observability into components per designs
- Participate in code reviews and apply feedback for improvement
- Adapt base patterns with flexible logic from open-source or internal repos
- Rapidly learn and apply new patterns and technologies to meet requirements
Key requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 3+ years hands-on cloud development experience 3+ years AWS experience (compute, storage, networking, security)
- Deep experience with Node.js Lambdas (serverless)
- Strong AWS SDK for JavaScript experience
- Experience with API Gateway, Cognito, Lambda, and S3Python scripting with boto3 for AWS operations
- Infrastructure as code with AWS CDK (TypeScript)
- Experience with Git-based code management (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket)
- Hands-on with EC2, ECS/EKS, and Lambda environments
- Observability and monitoring in AWSIAM integration and cloud security
- Cloud-native architectures (containers, microservices, service discovery)
- Familiarity with API Gateways, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, RDSPrompt engineering using AI (Bedrock)
- Ability to rapidly learn new technologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration with architects and teams
- Associate AWS certification (Developer) preferred
