With our purified, high-precision investigational cell therapies we hope to not only replace patients' blood and immune systems with healthy ones, but also restore their lives.The Material Handler - Night Shift ensures the efficient handling, storage and distribution of pharmaceutical materials and products for Orca's cell therapy products, ensuring adherence to strict quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position involves executing processes related to warehouse materials and inventory, kitting materials for production use and managing the movement, intake and shipping of drug products and samples.Night Shift Hours Worked:* 6:00pm to 6:30am or* 6:30pm to 7:00amWork Week Schedule:* Sunday, Monday, Tuesday + every other Wednesday or* Thursday, Friday, Saturday + every other WednesdayPhysical Demands:* Production Associate Roles: Must have visual acuity of 20/20 (corrected or uncorrected) and normal color vision to safely perform critical tasks such as visual inspection of materials, equipment, and labeling, including distinguishing color-coded components in a GMP environment.* Must be able to meet cleanroom gowning requirements, including wearing full gowning (face coverings, gloves, hoods, goggles) for extended periods, as needed. Use of cosmetics (makeup, painted nails), jewelry, or facial piercings is not permitted in the cleanroom, and any skin conditions that cause shedding must be disclosed.Work Conditions:Must be able to work at either Orca Bio Sacramento location (3400 Business Dr. or 7910 Metro Air Pkwy) based on operational needs.Must be comfortable regularly participating in video-based meetings.May be required to work scheduled overtime, weekends, or holidays based on business needs.Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:Receive, inspect and verify incoming materials against orders and documentationEnsure materials are moved and stored in their correct locationsMaintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, and manage material expirationPrepare consumable materials kits for use in productionMovement and transfer of materials including drug products and samples from productionMaintenance of consumable gowning stock across various facility locationsReceipt and incoming donor cells and shipment of patient drug productionsExecution of cold storage practices and cryopreservation of drug products when neededMinimum Experience, Education, Certifications, LicensesMinimum of high school diploma or GEDA.S. degree is preferred, but not requiredExperience with material management systemsExperience in warehouse operations and material movementsCell and gene therapy knowledge is beneficialPersonal QualitiesAbility to gown and work in clean rooms areasDemonstrates strong work ethic, curiosity to learn and contribute in a fast-paced collaborative environmentStrong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectivelyAbility to work in a collaborative mannerAbility to work independently and as part of a teamHighly tolerant and respectful of all team membersA sense of humor is always appreciatedStrong problem-solving skillsFollow cleanroom protocols, e.g. no cosmetics including make-up, painted nails, jewelry or piercings, and must disclose any shedding skin conditionOccasional need to ascend/descend stairs within work space; job requires standing/walkingAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.$59,853 - $71,571 a yearBase hourly pay range: $23-$26. The annualized earnings range above reflects estimated scheduled overtime and a +10% night shift differential. Total compensation will vary based on assigned shift, overtime worked, and applicable differentials.The anticipated annual salary range for this job is based on prior experience in the role/industry, education, location, internal equity, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. For remote-based positions, this range may vary based on your local market.
