This energetic role offers the opportunity to operate in a local area with regular hours plus time and a half for anything over 8hours per day. Hourly pay is determined and increased with licenses obtained. You'll be the driving force behind timely appointments, ensuring our clients' sanitation needs are met with professionalism and precision. Key Responsibilities: * Safely operate a commercial pumper truck transporting septic and grease waste. * Operate, load and unload materials and equipment efficiently to collect waste. * Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations. * Complete job documentation, treatment facility documentation and mileage tracking. * Communicate vehicle mechanical problems to supervisor immediately. * Navigate routes effectively using GPS or maps to meet scheduled service times. * Perform heavy lifting tasks related to locating and sometimes digging tank covers, unloading hoses or equipment safely and with proper technique. * Communicate professionally with customers and team members to coordinate appointments. * Adhere strictly to all safety standards, including proper handling of hazardous materials and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). * Maintain clean vehicle by cleaning cab interior and exterior of vehicle. * Report all accidents or incidents to supervisor(s) immediately * Exhibit a professional demeanor, manner and appearance at all times (i.e., meeting customers and/or the general public while on route or in uniform.) * Ensure that all required personal protective equipment be worn at all times (i.e., gloves, reflective vest, safety glasses, work boots, etc.) * Maintain accurate records of services performed. * May be required to work overtime * Required to be on call to work one weekend per month * Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management. Requirements: * Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker endorsement, we will train the right person looking for long term commitment. * Septic license in Wisconsin and Illinois is required within 6months, will train and coordinate testing if not already licensed. * Ability to climb in and out of a truck, lifting tank covers, unloading and loadings hoses on truck. * Safe driving record and understanding of DOT regulations and records. * Ability to use phone app technology for scheduling and invoicing customers at job sites. * MVR background check completion * Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Ability to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform job. * Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with others. * Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and apply to job. * Ability to use phone app for scheduling software, completing jobs, invoicing customers and recording job details. * Ability to write simple reports and correspondence such as pre- and post-trip inspections, accident reports, daily paperwork, etc. * Ability to read and comprehend simple correspondence and instructions such as company policies and procedures, etc. * Ability to apply common sense reasoning to complete jobs, solve problems and communicate with customers based on written and/or oral instructions. * Ability to follow instructions and work under limited supervision. Physical/Mental Demands: * Fed Med Card must be maintained at all times. * Must be able to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, climb, balance, and smell. * Visual Requirements: include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus due to the constant maneuvering of vehicle in tight and high traffic areas. * Ability to regularly lift/move up to 40 pounds and frequently lift/move up to 75 pounds. * Sitting is required up to 50% of the time driving. Working Conditions: * Frequently exposed to outdoor elements, humidity, rainy/stormy, extreme hot and cold weather conditions (depending on season), loud noises, septic and grease fumes and private residences requiring customer communication. * Work in and out of commercial truck, climbing 3 steps into truck for every job. * Work in outdoor environment 100% of the time between driving. * Work begins and ends at main location every day. * Frequently work near motor vehicle traffic conditions.
