OverviewDigitech is seeking a Patient Research Specialist to support the Patient Billing Department in any and all areas related to our clients’ private pay patients. Digitech leverages its proprietary technology to offer fully outsourced services that maximize collections, protect compliance, and deliver results for clients.ResponsibilitiesSummary:The Patient Research Representative is primarily responsible for gathering and entering necessary information and demographics required for payment of EMS claims, and entering that information into patients' files. High attention to detail, accuracy, the ability to handle a heavy workload on deadlines is required.Organizational ImpactIn this role for Digitech, you are our brand ambassador for our clients and the patients that they serve. You impact your line of business by ensuring that claims are paid in a quick and timely manner by working with internal departments and external parties, while all HIPAA rules and regulations are adhered to.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesWork internally by gaining an understanding of all departments and how they work together toward payment of all EMS claimsWork with external parties, including but not limited to hospitals, insurance providers, attorneys and the patients we serveSearch various websites and hospital systems to obtain additional patient information needed to process claims, and add that information to the pateints' recordsHandle correspondence via mail, email and telephone; perform other duties as assigned by managementSkills/Experience RequiredAbility to multi-taskCollaborative team player; able to work with all internal departmentsPleasant and professional phone mannerAble to handle pressure and always maintain composureComputer literacy; able to work two monitorsStrong follow-throughPrevious experience dealing with the public is helpfulPunctualDependableQuick learnerAccountable for your workComfortable asking questionsSarnova is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
