Freelance Copywriter (Beauty / Culinary CPG)

Position OverviewOur client, a beauty and culinary CPG company, is seeking a Freelance Copywriter (Beauty / Culinary CPG) to join their team for a 6-month engagement, working onsite at their Stamford, CT office. This is a 40-hour-per-week role with potential for extension. The team is looking for someone to start the week of May 25.Key ResponsibilitiesCraft clear, compelling copy across CPG workstreams, including:Packaging copyProduct descriptionsClaims and usage instructionsDevelop eCommerce PDP content optimized for clarity, SEO, and conversionSupport campaign messaging and digital assets across Beauty, Home, and Culinary categoriesContribute to tone of voice guidelines and messaging frameworksMaintain consistency across packaging, digital, and retail channelsEnsure all copy aligns with regulatory, legal, and brand standardsCollaborate closely with Creative Directors, Designers, and cross-functional teamsPartner with Brand, Product, and eCommerce teams to ensure accuracy and alignmentParticipate in creative reviews and clearly articulate copy rationaleReduce rework through meticulous attention to detailBalance high-quality craft with speed to marketEnsure messaging consistency across global marketsQualifications3+ years of copywriting experience in CPG, beauty, home, food, or lifestyleA strong portfolio showcasing:Packaging copyProduct storytellingeCommerce writing (PDP, digital content, etc.)Ability to translate product benefits into clear, consumer-friendly messagingExperience collaborating with Creative Directors, Designers, and cross-functional partnersExcellent grammar, clarity, and brand voice executionA collaborative, curious mindset with openness to feedbackPassion for brand storytelling and consumer-centric writingStrong organizational skills with a calm, solutions-oriented approachAbility to balance creativity with compliance, accuracy, and speed in a deadline-driven environmentIn this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
