Software Test Engineer (TS/SCI)Reston, VA, USAFull-timeClearance: Top Secret/SCIJob DescriptionPrimary Role:You need the right combination of quality code, standards-based APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to build a user focused solution. As a software test engineer, you will use automation tools and techniques to achieve these objectives. Work in tandem with the software development team to identify and validate application frontend features and backend components. Demonstrate expertise in identifying and preventing defects in products and services on continuous basis and work on the correction of any defects found with software engineers, system engineers, and DevOps engineers.Qualifications3+ years of experience with Agile release methodologies, test automation, developing frameworks or automated test scriptsExperience with software testing, traceability matrices, including continuous integration (CI) or Continuous Delivery (CD) pipeline solutionsExperience with developing and configuring automated test scripts and maintaining automated test and test environmentsExperience with End to End and usability testingDesired Qualifications:Experience with functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, 508 testing or system integration testingExperience with DevOps concepts and integrating regression tests of the CI/CD pipelinesExperience with implementing test automation suitesExperience with scripting languages, including Python, PowerShell, Bash, PHP, Java, Node, or RubyKnowledge of non-functional automation testing tools, including JMeter, SoapUI, Postman or LoadRunnerExperience with developing data integrity test scripts on databases, including Oracle and PostgreSQLAbility to manage discrepancies identified during testing and collaborate with the software development team to resolve software bugsAbility to work effectively independently and on diverse teamsAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
