Senior PL/SQL Developer

Software Methods is seeking a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer for a 24+ month contract opportunity at our client in Center City Philadelphia, PA. Our client is looking for candidates with 12+ years of experience PL/SQL Application Developer. This is a hybrid role and client is only considering local candidates.We require an Oracle PL/SQL developer to create back-end software. You will work on existing mission critical applications. You must be able to interpret business requirement documents, write functional code and unit test. Additionally, you will be required to fix defects in legacy code. You need to be a team player and excellent communicator and must be able to work with source control on multiple simultaneous branches.Responsibilities: Participate in requirements analysisTake direction from senior developersCollaborate with internal teams to produce softwareWrite clean, scalable codeUnit test and prepare applications for deploymentRevise, update, refactor and debug codeImprove existing softwareCreate documentation as requiredProvide production supportAvailable to provide third tier support to the help desk on assigned weekends and holidays if needed.Required:Proven experience as a PL/SQL Application Developer using Toad, SQL Plus (minimum 12+ years)Ability to create views, packages, functions, and stored proceduresAbility to work with collectionsAbility to work with async processesInterpret execution plans and optimize queries and functionsAbility to create complex DML and debugExcellent troubleshooting and communication skillsAttention to detail is of the utmost importanceBS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of development experience.If this sounds like you, please contact us today!Must be authorized to work in the U.S.!
