CNC Manufacturing Programmer
About the Role
As a CNC Manufacturing Programmer, you will drive the production of complex, high-precision components by developing advanced CAM strategies and CNC programs. You will bridge the gap between manufacturing execution and software innovation, playing a pivotal role in refining the technologies that define modern production environments.
Responsibilities
Develop and optimize precise CNC programs and CAM packages to ensure high-quality, repeatable output for complex components.
Design and model robust 3D fixtures using Siemens NX, incorporating advanced error-proofing and locating methodologies.
Create comprehensive work instructions that empower production teams to execute setups efficiently and accurately.
Collaborate with software and engineering teams to identify process gaps, report technical issues, and improve internal automation tools.
Continuously refine machining strategies by integrating feedback from technical staff to boost overall shop floor productivity.
Maintain high standards of documentation and design-tree integrity throughout the programming lifecycle.
Qualifications
Required Skills
Proven experience programming 3 and 5-axis CNC machinery in a high-tolerance production environment.
Strong proficiency in Siemens NX and hyperMILL software environments.
Solid understanding of GD&T principles and the ability to interpret complex CMM inspection data.
Demonstrated experience with aerospace or similar high-compliance manufacturing sectors.
Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes and apply data-driven insights to resolve dimensional instability.
Preferred Skills
Advanced experience machining difficult materials such as Titanium, Inconel, and stainless steels.
Direct experience with 5-axis Mill-Turn operations and integrated probing routines.
Familiarity with Industry 4.0, IoT, and AI-driven manufacturing applications.
Strong background in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
