Registered Nurse - Dialysis

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in Dialysis to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process. This role requires a strong understanding of renal care, infection control, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting. Duties Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and overall health status before, during, and after dialysis treatments. Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures such as gastric lavage as required. Maintain accurate medical records, documenting patient progress and any changes in condition. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans for patients. Provide education to patients and their families regarding dialysis procedures, dietary restrictions, and infection control measures. Implement infection control protocols to prevent complications associated with dialysis treatments. Assist in managing infectious disease care as it pertains to dialysis patients. Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with best practices in internal medicine and renal care. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Experience in inpatient settings preferred, particularly in dialysis or related fields. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques as they relate to patient assessments. Familiarity with infectious disease care protocols and infection control practices. Strong skills in monitoring vital signs and responding to changes in patient conditions. Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also demonstrating independent decision-making skills.
