Export Compliance SpecialistJob Location: Columbus, MS (On-site)Salary: Client is open to compensation for the right candidate, with a bonus and full benefits included.We are partnering with a growing aerospace & defense organization seeking an experienced Export Compliance Specialist to support critical trade compliance operations within a highly regulated environment. This is a high-visibility role supporting defense programs and working cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, logistics, and leadership teams.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with ITAR, EAR, and OFAC regulationsPrepare and review export documentation, including:EEI filingsCommercial invoicesShipping documentationPerform ECCN and HTS classificationsConduct restricted party screening and support export licensing activitiesCoordinate with internal stakeholders, freight forwarders, and customs brokersMaintain accurate, audit-ready compliance recordsIdentify compliance risks and drive continuous process improvementsQualifications3–7 years of import/export or trade compliance experienceStrong working knowledge of ITAR/EAR regulationsHands-on experience with export documentation and product classificationsExperience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platformsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPreferred BackgroundAerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing industry experienceExport licensing experienceTrade compliance or customs certificationsWhy This Opportunity?Support mission-critical aerospace & defense programsStrong long-term growth potentialHigh-impact role with cross-functional exposureStable organization with strong compliance cultureCompetitive compensation package including:Base salaryPerformance bonusFull benefits packageClient is flexible/open on compensation depending on experienceApply directly or message me privately for additional details.
