Your role in our success:This position will help ensure compliance across all tax domains-while supporting strategic initiatives to optimize tax benefits and mitigate exposure. This position will also assist in preparing and reviewing US GAAP income tax entries and collaborating across departments to support financial reporting and regulatory requirements. This position may include tax accounting close, preparing and reviewing tax returns, conducting multi-jurisdictional tax research, and supporting strategic planning initiatives to minimize tax liabilities and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments and with external advisors.What you'll be working on:Spearheading technology and process improvements (S4/HANA)Preparing or reviewing monthly close (Power Plan - Provision)Preparing, reviewing or filing consolidated federal and state tax returns, and supporting files (OneSource Compliance)Process documentationCollaborating with internal and external teamsAssisting with tax planning projects and quarterly tax projectionsResearching tax opportunities and tax law changesEnsuring compliance with all filings, mandates, and law changesResponding to tax notices and auditsPerforming tax research and presenting findings to managementPerform other job-related duties, as assignedWho you are:Bachelor of Science in accounting, finance, business or other related fieldEight (8) years minimum of relevant tax experience in public accounting or related industryExperience in S4/HANA preferredExperience in PowerTax a plusFamiliar with the Utility industry a plusStrong analytical skillsStrong skills in MS ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work proactively and independentlyAbility to identify and implement process efficienciesAbility to manage multiple priorities and properly prioritizeSolid understanding of state tax lawsAbility to contribute as a team player and work effectively within a teamAbility to continuously learn to develop skills, enhance performance and prepare for growthRegular Driver's LicenseCertified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferredBenefits/what's in it for you?
