Construction Sales & Preconstruction EstimatorWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Construction Sales & Preconstruction Estimator to drive business development efforts while leading the preconstruction process from concept through project kickoff. This role is ideal for someone with strong construction knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build lasting client relationships.Required Skills & QualificationsHands-on experience across multiple construction disciplines, including concrete, masonry, structural steel, carpentry, post-frame construction, and related tradesProven ability to negotiate and successfully close salesStrong verbal and written communication skillsGeneral computer proficiency and ability to manage digital documentationAbility to build, develop, and maintain long-term professional relationshipsHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and maintain accurate historical dataSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve performance goalsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawingsValid driver’s license and ability to travel to meetings and job sites as neededKey ResponsibilitiesActively network to develop and expand a new client baseAttend social networking, public relations, and industry eventsRepresent the company at trade shows and job fairsPresent and sell company construction services to prospective and existing clientsParticipate in ongoing training and professional developmentMaintain consistent communication with clients and provide progress updatesDemonstrate professionalism and exceptional customer service to past, current, and future clientsAttend and conduct site walkthroughs with clients and subcontractorsSolicit, evaluate, and prequalify subcontractors, including identifying new trade partnersDevelop conceptual budgets, detailed cost estimates, and final project pricingPrepare and write design-build proposals and detailed scopes of work for all subcontracting tradesLead and coordinate the full preconstruction process, including:Scheduling and project sequencingBudget development and cost controlPreconstruction meetings and stakeholder coordinationCollaboration with architects and designersConstructability reviewsScope identification and bid package developmentPermitting coordinationSubcontractor qualification and selectionAttend project meetings and serve as a liaison between owners, designers, subcontractors, and the construction teamEnsure clear communication and alignment throughout the preconstruction and early construction phasesteams.
