We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer specializing in modern, cloud-native data platforms, with strong expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Python.In this role, you will design, build, and optimize scalable and reliable ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouses that support analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate has strong data engineering experience, hands-on AWS expertise, advanced Python and SQL skills, and experience building modern cloud-based data platforms.## Key Responsibilities* Architect, implement, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python and native AWS services.* Ingest data from various sources, including APIs, databases, and streaming services, into data lakes and data warehouses.* Serve as a subject matter expert for core AWS data services, including S3, Glue, EMR, Kinesis/MSK, and Redshift or Amazon Aurora.* Design robust and efficient data models for analytical and reporting requirements, including star schema, snowflake, and data vault models.* Perform performance tuning and query optimization on large datasets within cloud data warehouses.* Ensure efficient and reliable data delivery for analytics and reporting.* Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.* Integrate data pipelines into modern CI/CD processes.* Establish data quality monitoring, logging, alerting, and governance standards across the data platform.* Build and maintain highly scalable and reliable cloud-native data solutions supporting analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence.## Required Qualifications* 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering.* Expert proficiency in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and data pipeline development.* Experience with Python data technologies such as Pandas or PySpark.* Deep hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), particularly data ingestion, storage, and processing services.* Experience with AWS services including S3, Glue, Lambda, and EMR.* Proven experience with modern data warehouses such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure Synapse.* Strong SQL skills, including complex query writing and optimization.* Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration concepts, including Docker and Kubernetes.* Located within the CET timezone (+/- 3 hours).
