As a Junior Data Engineer you will work directly with the the Director of Geospatial and own data engineering for the soul of the system. You will have the opportunity to be a critical contributor to a first-of-its-kind system enabling the energy transition at scale and solve challenging engineering problems in the process.
Responsibilities Clean, standardize, explore, and catalogue public and proprietary datasets before they enter an automated ingestion pipeline
Build on a proprietary join system by creating unique keys for disparate datasets
Refine and improve the data ingestion and analysis pipeline for vector, raster, and real-time geospatial data
Qualifications 1-3 years of experience building and shipping complex data pipelines in an enterprise setting
Demonstrated experience working with messy SQL querying, data standardization, and schema design
Personable and excited to work closely with customers in natural resources industries
Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated interest in energy development, land use, mineral exploration or similar topics
Past experience with government data sources (BLM, EPA, USFS, DOE, NOAA, BOEM, etc.)
