Admissions Representative/Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as an Admission Representative. and first point of contact for prospective clients. You will be responsible for providing information and guidance to prospective clients. Admissions Representative/Coordinator Position Overview: The Admissions Representative/ Coordinator will facilitate and evaluate therapeutic, medical, and financial arrangements of incoming dependent patients and/or family members. Specific Responsibilities: · First point of contact for all incoming phone inquiries regarding admissions. · Provides telephone and in person assessments, verification of benefits and, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients. · Discusses financial options with patients and responds to insurance-related questions. · Obtains appropriate clinical and demographic information for the purpose of obtaining insurance authorization with a clinically appropriate recommendation for level of care and length of stay. · Schedules tours for prospective patients and their families and schedules admissions. · Maintains communication with potential patients, unit staff, referral sources and families, as appropriate. · Records data and inputs documentation into the EHR system · Collects and analyzes data and provides regular feedback to the Program Director regarding caller information, marketing campaigns, and other information that can be garnered through call quality and call volume. · Works with the Program Director to ensure that the census is maintained and will participate in marketing or outreach activities as needed. · Assists counselors and other senior program staff in crisis intervention as needed. · Provides any other job-related duties as assigned. Education and Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field · One to Two years Plus of experience in similar position · Sales Experience Required · Experience working in admissions in mental health & or substance abuse services strongly preferred · Knowledge of HIPAA policies and procedures · Strong communication and negotiation skills.
