Pay Basis Monthly Job SummaryThe Program Manager will provide advanced programming and opportunities that assist students in conducting and completing undergraduate research projects. Oversee the process of earning Honors credits, and to serve as the primary contact for students and faculty. Provide administrative support in tracking student progress, retention, and completion of requirements. Support Honors College staff in programs/duties essential to the College.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesUndergraduate ResearchCreate and implement programs to assist students in completing their Honors Capstone project.Primary contact for students and faculty from the pre-proposal stage to the final-approved project.Plan and coordinate the biannual Honors Research Symposium (HRS).Oversee the Undergraduate Research Fellowship program.Work with library staff to ensure student projects are uploaded to the Research Commons.Collaborate with other entities on campus for undergraduate research opportunities and events.Honors Online Credit SystemOversees the process for earning Honors creditsServes as a liaison to students, faculty, advisers, and academic departments.Reviews all credit forms each semester and performs end-of-semester reporting.Holds information sessions to help students understand the contracting process.Student AdvisingAdvise Honors students on requirements, progress, and available opportunities.Data Maintenance/AnalysisResponsible for tracking and reporting student progress and retentionUpdate and standardize all forms and policies.Other DutiesAs assignedMinimum QualificationsMaster’s degree in field-related work. Three (3) years of experience in an advisory, administrative, or educational capacity with college students or adolescents in community groups OR nine (9) years of an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.Preferred QualificationsFive (5) years of experience working in an advisory, administrative, or educational capacity with college students. Experience working in an Honors College setting.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesFamiliarity with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and graphic computer applicationsExcellent spoken and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Experience with data analysis and assessment.Other Requirements Workplace and Eligibility ConditionsGeneral office conditions with the majority of time spent in contact with students, staff, and administrators.Use of manual dexterity. Lifting and moving. Tact, diplomacy, and judgment in dealing with students, faculty, and administrators. Security sensitive; criminal background check conducted.
