In this role, you'll gain exposure to our company culture & operations, contribute to a variety of projects, and build a strong foundation for future advancement. As a Merchandising Manager, you may work across multiple departments, such as Merchandising, Sign Shop, Logo Shop, Travel, Fitness Center, & Nemacolin Resort. You may also be assigned to special projects that broaden your experience and skill set. This position has an extremely high probability of promoting into any of our THQ departments, usually around the 1 year mark. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday role (7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities Essential FunctionsMaximize customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately Physically implement layout plans for stores Build constructive relationships and teams with channel partners Remain up-to-date with industry's best practices Meet with suppliers and store associates Maintain budgets Prepare informative presentations for senior managers Occasionally support the operations at the Sign Shop, Logo Shop, and 84 Fitness Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position does not require supervisory responsibility. Work EnvironmentThe incumbent is located in a busy office area and is faced with constant interruptions on a regular basis. Physical DemandsThis position requires frequent sitting, use of hands, talking and listening. Periodically this position walks, stands and reaches. Rarely, this position climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Hours of work depends on store hours of operations, 45+ hours per week. TravelLimited travel is expected for this position. QualificationsCompetenciesHighly creative with the ability to devise ideas that engage, inform, and motivate Excellent verbal and written communications skills Strong listening, presentation, and decision making skills Able to cope and adapt to pressure and deadlines The ability to productively work both alone or within a team Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Strong organizational skills Preferred Education and ExperienceBS degree in Marketing, Business or related field. 84 Lumber Company is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer.
