This exciting role spans the full product lifecycle - business capture, development, production, testing, sustaining - for a variety of complex defense products and technologies. You will collaborate closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware and test engineers, as well as product managers and stakeholders to develop excellent solutions.We are looking for candidates who are detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and have a passion for continuous improvement. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, quality, and reliability of electronic products through rigorous design, analysis, and testing. In addition, the ideal candidate has experience with, and is a strong advocate of, Agile hardware development, risk-reduction prototyping, and requirements-driven design and verification.Typical Duties Assigned To This PositionDesign and troubleshoot digital, analog, mixed signal, and power CCAs for military electronics/avionics equipmentLead electrical engineering designs, development, integration/test, and production of complex and dynamic military systemsParticipate in requirements development, performing technical trade studies, and evaluating technology insertion/upgradesDevelop architectures for electronic hardware that leverage embedded processors, microcontrollers, and FPGAs/SoCsDevelop and execute test plans, which includes the integration of test solutions, and provide detailed reports on test resultsParticipate in new business captureRequired Education, Experience, & SkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering6+ years (or 4+ years with MS EE) designing, testing, and troubleshooting high-reliability embedded systemsDemonstrated understanding of electrical principles, test methodologies, and the ability to work with advanced test equipment and cutting-edge technologyDemonstrated experience designing mixed-signal CCAsStrong “hands-on” laboratory experience with instrumentation, equipment, and processesEligible to obtain a DOD Security ClearancePreferred Education, Experience, & SkillsCompetence in digital/analog/mixed signal electronics fundamentals and interface/communication standardsKnowledge and experience with FPGA Design; memory interfaces such as DDR, QSPI; data transfer protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, JESD 204, I2C, JTAG, MIL-STD-1553; and experience in power supply (DC to DC) designExperience with electrical engineering tools for design, schematic capture and analysisExperience using Cadence tools for printed board assembly (PBA, PCB) designFamiliarity with design, analysis, and manufacturing standards associated with complex multilayer rigid and rigid-flex CCAsKnowledge of engineering development processes for aero/defense industry, including designing and testing to MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461A self-starter with Agile hardware development experienceExceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulnessControl account management experienceExperience with LRIP / FRP, specially electronics manufacturing and test methodologiesFamiliarity with AS9145 compliant processesStrong written and verbal communication skillsActive DOD security clearancePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $96623 - $164259Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
