Electrical Drafter/Designer Job Code Title: Drafter/Designer Level 2Business Group: ITD - PCBBusiness Unit: Low Voltage DrivesLocation: Mequon, WI, USA or RemoteSummary/Scope Of Position:Creates and modifies detailed drawings and parts using electrical CAD software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering. Contributes design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product. Checks drawings versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards. Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation. May work with system management including file maintenance, backup and storage.Desired Qualifications Experience using Windchill for part and document creation and releaseExperience using SAP for part and document managementExperience using an electrical CAD system such as Xpedition, Altium, Cadence or Zuken.Understanding of engineering change process and manufacturing implementationBasic understanding of reading electrical schematicsGood written communication skills for reports and documentationJob Duties Works with engineering team to understand productivity or quality improvements needed in product and update Xpedition electrical CAD filesPulls new part numbers or updates existing part numbers and BOMs in Windchill as neededPrepares updated parts and documents for release into production, making sure that system processes completed and stakeholders have reviewed and approved of changeRelease and monitor change through Windchill, SAP and manufacturing systemsProvide feedback to engineering team on questions, roadblocks or findingsEducation Requirements Technical school work preferredExperience Requirements:At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
