Senior Automation Engineer
Agility Partners is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to support a client in the utilities and energy sector. This role focuses on modernizing enterprise processes through scalable, secure automation solutions that reduce manual effort and minimize human error. You’ll work closely with both business and technical stakeholders in an Agile environment, leveraging Microsoft Power Platform and Azure to deliver high-impact results.This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence governance, standards, and best practices across the organization while enabling and mentoring citizen developers.What You’ll Be Responsible ForDesigning, developing, and deploying enterprise automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse)Partnering with business stakeholders to identify high-value automation opportunities and translate requirements into scalable, maintainable solutionsLeading initiatives end-to-end, from requirements gathering through deployment and operational supportImplementing and supporting governance frameworks, including Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) standardsSupporting CI/CD pipelines, solution lifecycle management, and continuous optimization within an Agile delivery modelProviding guidance, training, and mentorship to support responsible citizen developmentThe Ideal Candidate5+ years of experience in automation, software development, or Power Platform engineeringDeep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, and CoE implementationStrong experience with scripting and data formats such as Python and JSONSolid understanding of APIs, databases, and system integrations within an Azure environmentExperience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and Agile/Scrum methodologiesProven ability to communicate confidently with business stakeholders and lead requirements gathering end-to-endExperience with process modeling tools such as Visio or BPMN; familiarity with Azure Logic Apps preferredReasons to Love ItOpportunity to drive meaningful automation that delivers measurable business valueHigh-impact role with strong visibility across both technical and business teamsAbility to shape governance, standards, and citizen development at the enterprise levelCollaborative Agile environment using modern Microsoft and Azure technologies
