Physical Therapist Aide

Columbia Gorge Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine is currently seeking a Physical Therapy Aide to greet and assist patients as directed by the physical therapist or physical therapist assistants, as well as ensure the clinic and treatment rooms are cleaned and prepped for patients. Currently, the position is starting as Part Time but could potentially be Full Time. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Making sure patient's rooms are stocked, neat and organized. Wash/fold/store linens/towels, maintain cleanliness of therapeutic equipment as outlined on equipment cleaning logs, dust equipment, empty trash cans, clean treatment mats and chairs, refill containers and stock treatment carts with therapeutic supplies, answer and direct telephone calls, stocking restrooms, assisting Physical Therapists with modalities: laser, ultrasound, exercise. Disinfecting constantly and asking patients Covid screening questions. Other responsibilities could include assisting the front office team on an as-needed basis. Which includes: Handle patient appointment and scheduling, obtain patient billing and insurance information to maintain current and accurate information in patient files and billing system. Perform general clerical functions, filing, and copying. REQUIRED SKILLS Personable and friendly demeanor with patients and co-workers, both in person and on the phone, organizational skills and an ability to prioritize to facilitate steady patient flow, work with disabled individuals, strong customer service skills, sue of office equipment, faxes, copiers. Spanish is a plus! Knowledge of exercise and anatomy also a plus. EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS High School or previous equivalent work experience.
