Electrical Project Engineer

Novus Technical Services is seeking an experienced Field Engineer / Project Engineer – Electrical & Controls to support construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities at a Semiconductor Project in Taylor, Texas. This role serves as a key interface between engineering, project management, and field installation teams to ensure electrical, instrumentation, controls, and communications systems are installed and commissioned in accordance with project requirements. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary: starting at $95,000 annually, depending on experience Potential eligibility for weekly per diem of up to $840, subject to project requirements and company policy Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Professional Development Opportunities Opportunity to work on one of the largest semiconductor construction projects in North America Key Responsibilities Coordinate with Engineering Managers, System Leads, Project Managers, and field personnel to support electrical and controls installation activities Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation Ensure field teams have current and accurate engineering deliverables Support installation, testing, startup, and commissioning of electrical and controls systems Review field modifications and maintain redline and as-built documentation Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to construction teams Assist project leadership with progress reporting and schedule updates Support turnover and commissioning documentation packages Evaluate constructability issues and provide practical field solutions Interface with subcontractors, suppliers, client representatives, and engineering teams Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Controls Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial construction or engineering experience Experience with one or more of the following: Power Distribution Systems Instrumentation and Controls Building Automation Systems Telecommunications Systems Low Voltage Systems Semiconductor Manufacturing Facilities Strong understanding of electrical construction and commissioning practices Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project software tools Preferred Experience Semiconductor facility construction Cleanroom environments Controls integration Tool installation support Startup and commissioning activities Fast-track industrial construction projects Additional Requirements Ability to work extended schedules, weekends, and fast-paced construction timelines as required Ability to travel within the project area and support field activities as needed Experience collaborating with international engineering and project teams is highly desirable, including coordination with global engineering resources supporting project execution
