The Kitchen Barrel Proof Atlanta is a neighborhood cocktail and whiskey bar in West Midtown's Westside Provisions, with over 300 whiskeys and a bar program built for connection, conversation, and good energy. The food program supports that: gourmet bar fare executed with real care, on a focused menu that has to be consistently great every single night.  This is not a large kitchen. It is a tight, fast, high-volume BOH where the standard is set by the people who show up and care. The bar is the star, but the kitchen earns its seat at the table every service. We build places with a point of view and kitchens where good cooks want to grow. The Role This is a lead cook role in a bar kitchen that takes its food seriously. You own your station, you hold the standard, and you help set the tone for the rest of the BOH. You are reliable, fast, clean, and consistent. You know how to execute a focused menu at volume without letting anything slip, and you bring enough presence to the kitchen that the people around you level up because of it. Barrel Proof will always be a cocktail-driven neighborhood bar first and foremost, but the food has to earn its place on every ticket. That's your job. What this looks like: Own your station from mise en place through close, maintaining speed, quality, and consistency across every service Execute the menu to spec every ticket, every night, no exceptions Cover other stations as needed, the best cooks here are versatile Keep your station clean, labeled, and organized throughout service and at close Communicate proactively with the team: call out timing, flag needs, keep the line moving Support the onboarding and development of new BOH team members Bring a positive, hard-working energy to the kitchen that makes the whole team better Follow FIFO, food safety, and sanitation standards without being reminded You Are: A line cook with real service experience who is ready for lead-level responsibility Consistent and fast, someone who finds satisfaction in executing the same dish perfectly on the 50th ticket of the night Versatile, you cover where you're needed without complaint Clean in your work and your station A team player who communicates, not someone who disappears into their mise en place Excited about working in a bar environment where the energy is high and the guests are having a genuinely good time Our five values: I See You I Love You.
