Quality Operations Leader

Job Description An established component manufacturer is seeking a driven, career-focused Quality Operations Leader to manage, oversee, and continuously improve product and process quality across our manufacturing operations. This role is critical to ensuring customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System to ensure ongoing customer and regulatory complianceOversee First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in accordance with customer requirementsServe as the primary quality interface for customers, auditors, and regulatory bodiesLead, develop, and cross-train Quality and Inspection Department personnelCoordinate internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiativesImplement and maintain statistical methods and structured problem-solving techniquesEstablish and maintain inspection methods, measurement systems, and special process controlsQualifications Most Valued for This Role4+ years of experience in quality or inspection roles within a manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102, and customer-specific quality requirementsExperience with product measurement techniques and calibration systemsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprintsBackground in metal fabrication, special processes, and inspection methodologiesStrong communication skills with the ability to build effective customer relationshipsCollaborative leadership style with the ability to work effectively with company department or function leadershipDetail oriented and hands-on self-starter with the ability to manage multiple coincident urgent prioritiesProficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applicationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
