Fire Sprinkler ApprenticeCommercial Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice in the Socal/Orange County Area, CA. There's never been a more exciting time to join our team! The Sprinkler Apprentice assists in the installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems under the supervision of experienced technicians. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop hands-on skills in the fire protection industry while working toward certification.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with the installation of fire sprinkler systems, including piping, fittings, valves, and hangersSupport inspections, testing, and maintenance of existing systemsRead and interpret basic blueprints and construction drawingsMeasure, cut, and thread pipe using hand and power toolsMaintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environmentFollow all company safety policies and OSHA regulationsTransport materials and equipment to job sitesWork collaboratively with team members and supervisorsComplete required training and apprenticeship program courseworkSkills/Qualifications:Interest in construction, mechanical systems, or fire protectionInstall a variety of Sprinkler Systems (Wet, Dry, Deluge, Pre-action, Fire Pumps) per blueprints, specifications and building codesInstall valves, devices and trim for system risers, alarm valves, dry pipe valves, Pre-action valves, and Backflow Prevention devicesInstalls sprinkler heads for a wide range of applications per blueprint and knowledge of applicable sprinkler codesAbility to use basic hand and power tools (or willingness to learn)Be knowledgeable and adhere to all OSHA and CFP's Safety StandardsHigh School Diploma or equivalentCapable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirementsDemonstrate a high level of customer service, strong organization skills, and positive attitudeAbility to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all timesPossess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirementsPass a pre-employment background checkPerform other duties as assignedBenefits:Commercial Fire Protection is pleased to offer a competitive compensation package which includes: Competitive hourly rate, medical and dental 100% paid by the Company, vision, 401k, life insurance, paid time off and holidays, supportive team environment, mobile device, laptop, company vehicle, tuition reimbursement, and career advancement opportunities.All qualified applicants to Commercial Fire Protection are considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran's status or any other protected characteristic.
