Middle School Math Teacher (4th-8th)

Mason Preparatory School is seeking a qualified Upper School Math Teacher that can provide primary supervisory and instructional responsibility in the classroom. Position Details: Title: Upper School Math Teacher (4th-8th) Classification: Exempt (Salaried) Reports to: Head of School Schedule: Full-Time; 7:30 am - 3:30 pm Occasional evenings or weekends may be required for school events. Qualifications:Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university requiredState teacher certification required (i.e. Early Childhood, Elementary, or Middle School)Proficient knowledge of curriculum and effective instructional practicesExcellent communication and collaboration skills with school constituencies, students, and parents Duties and Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Head of School, the Upper School Math Teacher will:Provide high-quality classroom instruction that meets or exceeds South Carolina state standards while maintaining a safe, structured, and positive learning environmentPlan and deliver interesting and creative, multi-sensory lessons (kinesthetic, tactile, auditory, and visual)Build on effective presentation techniques, provide adequate comprehension checks, re-inforce and re-teach materials as necessaryMaintain clear and professional communication with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.Report necessary matters to the Head of School and implement discipline policies with fairness and consistencyMaintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.Actively participate in school life, meetings, and professional development opportunities.Seek professional development opportunities to maintain current knowledge in areas of expertise and enhance quality of instruction.Comply with all Mason Preparatory School policies and procedures as outlined in faculty, student, and employee handbooks.
