IMG Academy has been nationally recognized by organizations including Sports Business Journal, USA Today, and the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For for its workplace culture, innovation, and commitment to developing people both on and off the field.IMG Academy provides growth opportunities for student-athletes and partners through an innovative suite of on-campus and online experiences:Boarding school and camps, delivered on a state-of-the-art campus in Bradenton, FloridaOnline coaching through IMG Academy+, focused on personal development through the lens of sport and performanceOnline college recruiting through NCSA College Recruiting and SportsRecruits, providing industry-leading recruiting education, tools, and access to a network of more than 40,000 college coaches for student-athletes, families, club coaches, and event operatorsElevate by IMG Academy, a performance and personal development solution that delivers mindset, leadership, and wellbeing programming to schools, colleges, and organizations through a combination of digital content and immersive experiencesThe Campus Safety Officer is responsible for supporting the security operations within assigned areas of a boarding school campus and sports training destination that spans over 400 developed acres.Position ResponsibilitiesSafety Leadership: Proactively patrol campus property for up to 8 hours, ensuring all areas are secure, identifying maintenance needs, and addressing unsafe conditions.Access Control: Screen and authorize visitors, vehicles, and guests entering the property to maintain campus security.Student Accountability: Monitor student entry and departure to ensure safety and proper accountability.Emergency Response: Swiftly respond to emergencies and security-related calls, providing first aid/CPR/AED when necessary.Incident Reporting: Investigate incidents, maintain detailed reports, and log all safety concerns with professionalism and care.Policy Enforcement: Collaborate with Student Life to uphold campus rules and policies as they apply to students.Team Contribution: Attend daily briefings, arrive on-time and in-uniform, and keep all Campus Safety posts clean and orderly.Process Improvements: Identify areas for enhancement in safety procedures and share ideas with supervisors.Other duties as assigned by managementQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid Florida Driver's License or the ability to obtain oneFluent in English with strong communication skills (written and verbal)Completion of D-license training within 6 months of hireProficiency with strong Microsoft Office and willingness to learn proprietary systemsMust maintain composure and objectivity while in stressful, high-pressure situationsPreferredAssociate degree or higherExperience in security, law enforcement, or military serviceBilingual - English and SpanishFirst aid/CPR/AED certifiedPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentAbility to lift, carry, move, push and pull equipment or boxes up to 40lbsAbility to stand and walk for duration of shiftAbility to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.Ability to work on various indoor and outdoor surfaces including grass, turf, courts, etc. in all weatherRequires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.Must be able to operate office equipment such as computersAbility to flexible hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays as neededBackground RequirementsRequires a background check upon offerRequires a pre-employment drug screen upon offer#LI-SA1Background Requirements:Requires a background check upon offerRequires a drug test upon offerBenefits:As a full-time member of our team, you will enjoy a comprehensive offering listed below.
