A North Carolina Provider of Choice and Employer of choice, currently serving people in 25 counties across the state.We are hiring multiple candidates for a full time or part time PCA/HHA or CNA position.RequirementsCurrent PCA or CNA certification in North CarolinaCPR Certification, preferred but not requiredOther Requirements/Skills:Reliable transportationMust be customer service oriented and prepared to liaise with clients, their families and other care providersConfident working independentlyEffective communication skills, both verbal and writtenWillingness to embrace technology/utilize computerized systemsAbility to lift 25 poundsBilingual preferred, but not requiredResponsibilities:Implement and provide day-to-day Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) support to clients within their home as ordered by the physician's plan of treatment and client's plan of careAppropriately assist clients with ADL and personal care in accordance with the client's care planAssist or perform personal care including: baths (tub, shower, bed), mouth care, denture care, skin care, foot care (no toenail cutting), grooming (shampoo, comb hair, shave, file nails), dressing and undressing activities, elimination (toilet, commode, urinal, bedpan) and transfersAssist with ambulation with or without mechanical aidsAssist the client with therapy exercises under the direction of a Registered TherapistAppropriately assist with household tasks directly related to the client's health and care planMaintenance of a clean, safe, and healthy environmentPlan and prepare meals according to specific dietary requirements of the client and feed as necessaryLight housekeeping of client's immediate environmentLaundry of clients bedding and clothingAssistance in completing activities such as shopping/grocery, errands, and appointments outside of the homeProvide companionship and stimulation for the client including reading, walks, etc and accompany to medical appointmentsUtilize equipment in an appropriate and safe mannerRemind client for self-administration of medicationDo Not Administer Medications. Medications include eye drops, ear drops, ointments, pills, suppositories, injections, herbal remedies, and over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol, Aspirin, vitamins, and mineralsAccurately document shift details and services accurately within established time parametersEnsure the safety of clients and self.
