Learning Solutions Consultant, Life Sciences

We are seeking a Learning Solutions Consultant, Life Sciences who can serve as a strategic partner to life sciences clients, advising on learning solutions that drive engagement, performance, and commercial effectiveness. This role combines client-facing responsibilities, scoping, discovery, analysis, and strategy—with hands-on collaboration across internal teams to design, develop, and mentor others in creating compliant, skills-based sales training content. The position bridges deep life sciences expertise with instructional design excellence to deliver impactful learning outcomes and support business growth.ResponsibilitiesClient-FacingPartner with Business Development as a strategic advisor to current and prospective clients, engaging directly with decision-makers and project stakeholders and contributing expertise in scoping, proposals, and RFP responsesDesign holistic learning strategies that leverage Unboxed's suite of life sciences products and services to drive measurable outcomesFacilitate client discovery sessions and analysis to clarify objectives, identify gaps, and align desired outcomes with Unboxed capabilitiesProvide ongoing strategic support for enterprise clients to drive continuous improvement in learning and coaching culture and adoptionRepresent Unboxed in the market via conferences, webinars, articles/blogs, and other thought-leadership opportunitiesPartner with account teams to influence adoption, expansion, and cross-sell opportunities without direct sales ownershipInternalUpskill and mentor Unboxed training delivery team members in writing, editing, and adapting complex life sciences product, clinical, and commercial information into clear, compelling skills-based sales training content that aligns with learning objectives and editorial, legal, and regulatory standardsIn partnership with training delivery team leaders, select and manage external contractors in the creation of life sciences training contentWhen needed, develop or support the development of deliverables such as training modules, eLearning courses, presentations, case studies, job aids, and meeting and workshop contentResearch and stay current with scientific, clinical, and market developments relevant to therapeutic areasApply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to create effective training materialsKey SkillsExcellent writing, editing, and communication skills geared toward translating technical content for sales audiencesExperience in an agency-style and/or consultancy client relationship settingHigh level of creativity and the ability to generate ideas for compelling learning experiencesFamiliarity with multimedia content development and eLearning technologiesAbility to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines while maintaining high-quality outputKnowledge of regulatory, legal, and compliance standards in life sciences training contentCollaborative attitude with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across departmentsStrong ability to translate business goals into system-level strategiesCross-functional leadership skills: ability to influence and align internal teams around client outcomesExecutive presence and communication skills to engage both day-to-day stakeholders and senior decision-makersRequirements5+ years of experience in learning experience design in the pharmaceutical industry3+ years of experience consulting with sales training leaders in the life sciences industryProven experience writing or developing skills-based sales training content in/for the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sectorsStrong understanding of the commercial pharmaceutical environment and the strategic importance of sales trainingProficiency with learning management systems and content development toolsKnowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design modelsDegree in life sciences, pharmacology, medicine, or related field preferred, but not requiredBenefitsUnboxed team members benefit from our comprehensive compensation and rewards program which includes:Competitive salary and benefitsAmple paid time off - 5 weeks PTO (pro-rated in 1st year), 6 paid holidays plus winter break between 12/26 and 1/1Dynamic and convenient office location - unlimited snacks, casual dress code, covered parking and gym on siteOpen communication and a commitment to fostering teamwork across the organizationJ-18808-Ljbffr
