CGP: SR Cost Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $70.00 to $75.00 per hour. Job Responsibilities:Execute month-end close activities for inventory, WIP, COGS, and manufacturing operations.Prepare and document manual journal entries for production, usage, receipts, and adjustments.Review and reconcile material usage, production activity, shipments, and consumption across systems.Maintain and reconcile inventory accounts, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.Partner with cross-functional teams to validate data and understand cost drivers.Requirements:Demonstrate strong understanding of inventory flows, work order behavior, WIP concepts, PPV, and COGS reporting.Perform reconciliations, variance analysis, and month-end close activities in manual or semi-manual environments.Work confidently with production logs, spreadsheets, ad-hoc data extracts, and non-automated workflows.Apply advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data validation.Prioritize tasks effectively under tight timelines and navigate ambiguous or evolving processes.Qualifications:5+ years of progressive experience in cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, or inventory accounting.Exhibit strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, audit-ready documentation.Bring experience in manufacturing, construction products, hardware, aerospace, or engineering-driven environments.Show exposure to transitional ERP environments and ability to translate operational data into financial outcomes.Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with Finance and Operations teams.REF#51462LI-DD1
