Mechanical Insulator (Journeyman)

Job Description Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Journeyman Insulator to install, repair, and maintain insulation systems commercial and light industrial projects. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of insulation materials, safety procedures, and blueprint interpretation.Key Responsibilities· Install insulation materials including fiberglass, cellular glass, mineral wool, rigid fiberglass board, duct wrap elastomeric etc.· Measure and cut insulation to fit pipes, ducts, and other mechanical equipment.· Apply vapor barriers and seal insulation according to specifications.· Remove and replace damaged or old insulation.· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.· Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.· Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety standards.· Work at heights and in confined spaces when required.· Maintain clean and organized job sites. Qualifications· Journeyman-level experience in insulation (typically 4+ years preferred)· Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings· Knowledge of insulation materials and installation techniques· Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards· Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions· Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
