This contract-based, onsite role involves overseeing quality control operations, ensuring compliance with standards, and managing QC lab equipment. Responsibilities include implementing and troubleshooting quality management practices, providing technical support, and ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain high operational and product standards.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESInstall, configure, administer, and maintain laboratory and manufacturing computer systems, software, and associated hardware.Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for laboratory instrumentation, workstations, servers, and peripheral devices in GMP and non-GMP environments.Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, network connectivity, and application issues to ensure maximum system availability and performance.Support system lifecycle activities including software deployments, upgrades, patches, and infrastructure refreshes with minimal operational disruption.Configure and maintain Windows-based systems, including user profiles, local security policies, services, registry settings, drivers, and application dependencies.Support system backup, recovery, storage, and business continuity processes for laboratory and manufacturing systems.Assist with Active Directory account administration, access provisioning, group memberships, and authentication-related issues.Maintain system inventory, software licensing, asset documentation, and technical records.Collaborate with vendors and internal IT teams to diagnose and resolve complex application and infrastructure issues.Perform routine system health monitoring, performance analysis, preventive maintenance, and capacity planning.Support laboratory instrument integration, client/server communications, network connectivity, and interface troubleshooting.Provide technical input for system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and implementation activities by identifying and resolving technical issues.Provide technical assistance during audits, inspections, and compliance activities as required.Perform other duties as assigned. Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time.EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSStrong experience supporting laboratory and manufacturing IT environments in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, including system administration, registry management, services, Group Policy, local security, and troubleshooting.Experience supporting client/server applications and distributed laboratory computing environments.Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and network troubleshooting.Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Citrix Virtual Apps/VDI.Ensure the reliability, availability, backup, recovery, and security of GMP laboratory and manufacturing systems.Experience supporting regulated GxP systems and understanding of data integrity, cybersecurity, and IT operational best practices.Experience supporting laboratory instruments and software including, but not limited to, Waters and Agilent chromatography systems, ÄKTA systems, SoftMax Pro, Geneious, ELN/LIMS (Sapio), imaging systems, bioreactors, plate readers, sequencers, and related laboratory technologies.Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills with the ability to diagnose hardware, software, network, and application issues.Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively across IT, Quality, Manufacturing, and laboratory organizations.
