Wireline Lead OperatorSUMMARYThe Lead Operator will be responsible for safely performing Wireline related duties at the well site and in the shop, while ensuring compliance with all regulations applicable to Wireline explosives operations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare for jobs by performing tool maintenance, pre-job and post- job tool checkoutLead rigging up and down the wireline surface and downhole equipmentAssist in tool string make-ups and assembly of downhole logging tools including perforating guns, pipe recovery, and setting toolsMaintain, clean, and perform preventative maintenance on down-hole and surface logging equipment inclusive of: mechanical devices, logging head, explosive setting tools and perforating hardware, cement bailer systems, pressure control componentsReceiving instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on well site activityPerforming basic duties at the well site and at the shopDriving company vehicles in a safe manner while observing Company and government regulationsMaintaining well site/DOT records and communications as requiredActively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to promote safe and efficient operationsSupervise and train other Wireline Operators while maintaining a high level of safety awareness at the well sitePromoting and maintaining good customer relationsCommunicate with co-workers, superiors, company men, and rig supervisors on the well sitePerform other related or site specific duties as required REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GED equivalentMust possess and maintain valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazardous Material EndorsementMinimum of 2 year previous experience as a wireline operator requiredMust be able to pass comprehensive ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms) background checkStrong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of down hole toolsMust possess knowledge of the applications of explosives used in the wireline businessMust possess knowledge of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms (ATF) and applicable State lawsBasic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office suiteMust be able to work in a team environmentMust be able to perform the essential functions in a fast paced and high stress environmentMust possess exceptional customer service skills COMPUTERBasic knowledge of MS Office preferred PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTSMust complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings ABOUT THE COMPANYRanger Energy Services is an oil & gas completion and production solutions company with a foundation built on well servicing, wireline, and natural gas processing.
