Equipment Assembler *Employment Type:* Full-Time Position Summary The Equipment Assembler is responsible for assembling livestock and hog production equipment used in modern swine facilities. This position works with a variety of components, hardware, hand tools, and power tools to build products according to drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and takes pride in producing high-quality equipment for the agricultural industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Assemble hog and livestock equipment and components according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions. * Use hand tools, power tools, drills, wrenches, impact tools, and other assembly equipment. * Measure, align, fasten, and inspect components to ensure proper fit and function. * Read and follow basic assembly drawings, diagrams, and production instructions. * Inspect finished products for proper assembly, appearance, and workmanship. * Identify damaged, missing, or defective components and communicate issues to the production supervisor. * Maintain consistent production quality while meeting established production schedules. * Safely handle metal, plastic, hardware, and other manufacturing materials. * Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in good working condition. * Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment. * Work effectively with other members of the manufacturing team. * Assist with loading, packaging, and preparing completed equipment for shipment when needed. * Perform other manufacturing and assembly duties as assigned. Qualifications * Previous manufacturing, assembly, construction, agricultural, or mechanical experience preferred but not required. * Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. * Ability to use basic hand and power tools. * Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Agricultural or livestock experience is a plus. Physical Requirements * Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods. * Ability to frequently bend, reach, kneel, and move around the production area. * Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment as required. * Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools. * Ability to work around metal components, machinery, and other manufacturing equipment. * Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other equipment as applicable. Work Environment This position is performed in a manufacturing environment producing equipment for the swine and agricultural industries. The work environment may include exposure to machinery, noise, metal components, dust, and varying temperatures. Proper safety procedures and PPE are required.
