Cold Storage Supervisor
Job Summary: The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for steering end-to-end warehouse and logistics operations within a highly regulated, temperature-controlled environment. This leadership role ensures the absolute safety, integrity and timely distribution of temperature-sensitive goods while maintaining stringent compliance with food safety and cold chain standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations of cold storage facilities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.Ensure continuous cold-chain integrity across warehouse and transportation processes.Monitor and control temperature, humidity and storage conditions to meet product requirements.Implement and enforce FIFO/FEFO inventory management practices.Manage inventory accuracy, stock rotation and shelf-life control.Coordinate refrigerated transportation and last-mile delivery operations.Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO, FDA or local regulations).Manage audits, inspections and documentation related to cold storage compliance.Supervise, train and evaluate warehouse staff on cold storage handling and safety procedures.Maintain cold storage equipment, refrigeration systems and backup power systems.Control operating costs including energy consumption, labor and transportation.Handle customer requirements, service levels and issue resolution.Prepare operational reports, KPIs and performance analysis for management.Job Summary: The Cold Storage Supervisor oversees all operational aspects within refrigerated and frozen storage areas. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant handling of perishable inventory while strictly enforcing temperature stability and safety regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Facility Management: Supervise all activities including receiving, put-away, picking, staging and shipping. Monitor temperatures of cold rooms, freezers and handling areas; ensure immediate action on deviations. Coordinate equipment use.Staff Supervision: Lead, train and schedule cold storage staff. Ensure team adherence to safety protocols, productivity targets and quality standards.Compliance & Safety: Implement safety procedures to prevent accidents, temperature abuse and product spoilage. Maintain records of temperature logs, sanitation checks and incident reports.Work EnvironmentExposure to refrigerated (–18°C) and frozen (-22°C and below) conditions.Requires use of PPE such as gloves, jackets and safety shoes.
