Manager in Training (MIT)
Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers (EOCTE) is actively seeking to bring a new leader into our MANAGER IN TRAINING PROGRAM . This program equips leaders to step into assistant manager and store manager roles . In preparing to step into this leadership position with EOCTE our preferred candidate will have to complete all necessary training while working with the existing team at our training location in Valrico. This is a 6-9 month training position. Our Management Training Program offers significant management and sales experience coupled with the opportunity to work for the pre-eminent automotive maintenance provider leading our industry through excellence, innovation and growth.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Consistently creating results for customers, teammates and the company
Responsible for ensuring through direct training and daily leadership a professional and courteous environment for our customers and teammates
Learning and operating our proven business model for our quick lube department and full-service mechanical department
Being a representative in our community by attending area chamber events
Responsible and accountable for total cost of operations for the site
Must have the ability to recruit and train
Our leaders are hands on, this IS NOT an office position
Qualifications:
Prefer to have a 2 or 4 degree from a technical school or college. We prefer someone with a business degree/background,
Must have proven store management history. A minimum of 4 years. This DOESN'T have to be store management in automotive, it could be your experience was in a retail atmosphere. We're looking for leadership history.
Our leadership model is a SERVANT LEADERSHIP model and we expect all our leaders to lead in such a fashion. If you don't know what that means, then please research to make sure your leadership style fits our expectation.
A background in automotive is definitely a plus, especially if that background includes management and writing mechanical service...but we are willing to train the right dynamic leader if they don't have these prior experiences.
Prepared to work 55 hours weekly. We're closed on Sundays and you'll have one other day off a week. Saturdays are A MUST for our managers. Don't apply if it's an issue, we won't bend on this item.

The ability to be on your feet. Once again, this is not an office job. Our leaders are engaged with customers and teammates on the floor.
