Health Information Management Specialist

A company is looking for a Health Information Management (HIM) Data Integrity Specialist. Key Responsibilities Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the master patient index (MPI) by addressing duplicate medical record numbers and demographic corrections Process chart correction requests prioritizing patient care and safety while documenting findings and coordinating with relevant departments Analyze and resolve patient identity discrepancies across multiple electronic medical record systems in a timely manner Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent 2+ years of experience in HIM Data Integrity Experience with Epic, particularly in resolving duplicate medical record numbers and chart corrections Associate or Bachelor's degree in HIM or equivalent experience is preferred RHIT/RHIA certification is preferred
