Strategic Advisor to the CEO

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of Health PEI, the Special Advisor will provide strategic advice, leadership and support to the CEO. This senior leadership role involves collaborating closely with the CEO, Senior Leadership team of Health PEI the HPEI Board of Directors, Department of Health and Wellness and other key stakeholders to streamline operations, manage priorities, and drive strategic initiatives and projects forward. Acting as a trusted advisor, gatekeeper, project manager, and liaison across the organization, ensuring alignment with the CEO's vision and goals.Duties:Plans, organizes, leads and monitors all initiatives under the Office of the CEO.Facilitates collaboration among stakeholders and driving decision making.Engages in regular strategic discussions, brainstorming sessions, and planning meetings to align organizational goals with the CEO's vision.Supports the CEO, Senior Leadership team and HPEI Board of Directors on high priority initiatives as identified by Health PEI's strategic plan;Leads/participates in the development of evidence -informed policy through collaboration across Health PEI, government and agencies;Researches, analyzes data and provides the CEO with background information, meeting summaries and supporting documents in preparation for scheduled meetings, and speaking engagementsParticipates and provides advice on Health PEI committees and initiatives;Analyzes and reviews purpose, overlap and contributions of committees and initiatives toward Health strategic vision, mission and goals;Provides leaders and support to a variety of special projects related to policy development, implementation and evaluation, organizational planning and change managementArranges meetings, purposes and circulates agendas, distributes background information and provides advice and preparation to the chairpersonProvide expertise and advice on emerging areas and new opportunities to improve how Health PEI OperatesConducts jurisdictional scans, internal reviews and researchDesigns and deliveries initiatives, including the initial development and execution programs and consultative processAnalyzes and extracts key information to develop recommendationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business administration, public policy, health administration, social sciences or a related field, Master's degree considered an asset;Demonstrated equivalencies may be consideredExtensive management experience, including creating business plans, project management, organizational change management,Extensive knowledge in the area of health program and policy development, implementation and evaluation processes, particularly as it relates to complex organizations such as health/government;Extensive experience leading and motivating high-performing teams and fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace;Considerable experience in research analysis, conducting complex qualitative and quantitative data analysis;Demonstrated experience communicating complex information that is sensitive, and presenting options and advice to senior management;Proven ability to develop positive working relationships with external and internal individuals and groups;Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated excellence in interpersonal relations, negotiation and consensus building;Extensive experience writing reports;Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;Excellent Communication and organizational skills.Please ensure the application clearly demonstrates how you meet the noted qualifications as applicants will be screened based on the information provided.
