Information Technology Security Architect (Chicago)

Senior Security Architect to lead security architecture reviews for enterprise SaaS platforms. This role partners with engineering, cloud, and risk teams to design secure cloud and hybrid architectures and drive security best practices across the organization.ResponsibilitiesLead security architecture reviews for SaaS, cloud, hybrid, and multi‐cloud environments.Define and implement security patterns aligned with SSDLC, zero‐trust, and enterprise standards.Provide guidance on identity and access management (Authentication, SSO, RBAC, privilege management, Microsoft Entra).Advise on data, application, and API security (encryption, classification, OWASP, API security).Support third‐party security assessments, risk management, and compliance (NIST, GDPR, SOC).Guide security operations including logging, SIEM integration, incident response, and penetration testing.Represent security architecture in technical discussions and drive deliverables independently.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.7+ years in information security; 3+ years with cloud or SaaS platforms.Hands‐on experience with Azure, AWS, and hybrid or multi‐cloud environments.Strong knowledge of identity, cloud security, network architecture, and enterprise security frameworks.Excellent collaboration and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience in the financial services industry.Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP/CSSP, CCNP/CCIE Security, or cloud security certifications.Experience with zero‐trust architecture and AI security technologies (e.g., Microsoft Copilot).Rate:$70-85/HR
