Working closely with our physicians, specialists, and support staff, the NP is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic medical conditions, while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive physical exams, assessments, and medical historiesDiagnose and treat a variety of common acute and chronic conditionsOrder and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging when appropriateDevelop and implement patient care plans, including follow-ups and referralsPrescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulationsProvide patient education and counseling regarding disease prevention, treatment adherence, and wellnessCoordinate care with other providers including specialists, therapists, and ancillary servicesAccurately document all patient encounters and updates in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)Participate in clinical quality initiatives and case reviews as neededMaintain a strong working knowledge of health insurance guidelines, coding, and regulatory updatesUphold professional standards, including HIPAA compliance and infection control protocolsRequired QualificationsActive and unrestricted New York State Nurse Practitioner licenseNational certification (ANCC or AANP) in Family, Adult-Gerontology, or Internal MedicineDEA registration or eligibilityMinimum of 1 year of primary care or internal medicine experience preferred (new grads considered based on clinical experience and training)Proficiency in using EMR systems (experience with PrognoCIS, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems a plus)Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsBilingual proficiency a plus but not required (English required; Spanish, Arabic, or Russian preferred)Work Environment & ExpectationsMulti-specialty outpatient setting with diverse patient populationsLocations may rotate; must be flexible to work across Brooklyn and Queens clinics as scheduledCollaboration with medical, physical therapy, and administrative teams requiredProfessional attire and demeanor expectedMust be punctual, responsive, and able to manage high patient volumes without compromising care qualityCommitment to NYMVCare's mission to provide accessible, efficient, and compassionate healthcareCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceMalpractice insurance providedPaid time off, sick leave, and observed holidaysOpportunities for CME and professional developmentPotential for long-term growth within a rapidly expanding healthcare group
